Ingredients of Water

Mineral water “Bjni” belongs to the group of hydrocarbon, sodium, silicate, boric mineral waters.

One of the basic features of mineral water “Bjni” is overall mineralization. It is the combination of anions, cations and undissociated molecules of water amounted to 4.9-6.5g/dm3. Due to its chemical elements, gases and organic compounds the mineral water “Bjni” has biological and medicinal effects. Dissolved mineral salts are present in the form of ions - cations and anions. The major cations are Sodium (Na+), Potassium (K+), Calcium (Ca2+) and Magnesium (Mg 2+) and the major anions are Chlorides (Cl-), Sulfates (SO42-) and Hydrocarbons (HCO3-).

Sodium is the main component of human blood plasma and tissue fluid. It is absorbed rapidly and in several minutes after drinking mineral water it appears in almost all organs and tissues. Sodium with chlorine aids in maintaining osmotic pressure in tissues and plays an important role in water-salt exchange in human organism. Sodium ions promote the secretion of intestinal enzymes, reduce oxidation of proteins and accelerate glucose absorption.  Sodium ions, combined with sulfate and chloride ions, have bile-expelling effect on organism.

Potassium plays an important role in formation of buffer systems, which protect the body’s internal environment reactions fluctuations and ensure their stability. It belongs to the main intracellular cations category, and it is essential component of intracellular environment of every known living organism. Almost 98% of potassium is located in the tissue cells of human organism.

Calcium is involved in many of the physiological and biochemical reactions in the organism. It is proven that calcium has the leading role in the regulation of the main cells (nerves, muscles, kidney, liver, etc.) of human body. Calcium strengthens the biological membranes, reduces their transparency, has anti-inflammatory and anti-allergic effect, increases immunity and stimulates urination.

Magnesium is a part of the muscles and body inner liquid environment. It stimulates carbohydrate exchange process and strengthens the biological membranes. Combined with sulfates, it activates the excretion of bile.

Hydrocarbons combined with sodium ions are forming sodium hydrocarbon. Mineral water “Bjni” belongs to the hydrocarbon or alkaline waters group. It has an alkaline effect - mainly in stomach. By reducing the acidity in the stomach, “Noy” decreases stomach spasms and stimulates the food way to the duodenum. “Noy” is the hydrocarbon water. It facilitates recovery of mucous membranes resulting in the elimination of pathogenic mucus, as well as the exchange of proteins, carbohydrates and nucleic acids. Having all the effects of wide spectrum of hydrocarbon waters positive influence, “Noy” has a leading role in the treatment of digestive system diseases.

Chloride ions are “raw material” for synthesis of hydrochloric acid from gastric glands. This helps to activate the digestive ferments of gastric juice. Chloride ions stimulate the digestion process: by accelerating the digestion of food proteins, carbohydrates and fat, they improve metabolism and participate in body's growth and development. In addition, chlorides facilitate the evacuation of intestine.

Sulfates are often combined with sodium, magnesium and calcium cations. Containing 160-280mg/dm3 sulfate ions, mineral water “Bjni” obviously stimulates intestinal motility, irritates intestinal mucosa, thus, improves the digestion process. By regulating digestion, the mineral water discharges organism, especially the liver, cleansing it from toxins. Sulfate ions stimulate the production of bile in liver; strengthen the contraction of gallbladder and biliary excretion to the duodenum. This prevents the gall bladder from inflammations and gallstones. Moreover, sulfate ions prevent urinary tract infections.

“Bjni” is mixed mineral water since it contains all the above mentioned ions. Mixed mineral waters are of a great value. This is due to the fact that mineral waters are essential in conducting a complex therapy, curing several organs simultaneously.

Mineral water “Bjni” contains number of microelements such as iron, arsenic, iodine, bromine, silicon, copper, cobalt, manganese.  The medicinal property of “Noy” is conditioned also by the moderate content of these microelements.

Water Is Life

Water is the source of life and it is impossible to live without it. It is the symbol of purity and fertility. According to all famous legends the life originates from water. Centuries ago, when people appreciated the mutual respect more than gold, they wrote on springs:

“Passenger, stop and bow. Spring water gives strength to the young, love and beauty to the women and returns the health back to the old”.

Water is the only substance found naturally on Earth in three common states of matter:  solid, liquid, and gas. As you know, 2/3 of human organism consists of water. Chronic dehydration is the primary cause of the most of degenerative diseases. The daily water requirement for our body is 2-3 liters. We get 1.5 liters of water with food, while 0.5 liters produced in our body. Our appearance, health and efficiency depend on purity of the water we drink. We have the right to present the strictest water quality requirements.

Drinking mineral water is important for treatment of digestive organs diseases. The mineral water is medicinal when it is used for treatment, rehabilitation and prevention of different diseases due to its unique physical and chemical qualities. But not every mineral water may be considered to be medicinal, particularly medicinal-table. Mineral waters used for therapeutic purposes must be extracted from natural springs or wells with various depths. It should be noted that very often the mineral springs are ten kilometers away from their sources.  This increases the water mineralization. “Noy” belongs to the same group of medicinal mineral waters called medicinal-table. Id est, it may be consumed without any limitation. It is not surprising, therefore, the motto “Drink as much as you want” was chosen for the mineral water “Bjni”.

The exceptional medicinal properties of mineral water “Bjni” come from:

  • Chemical properties: total mineralization, ion composition, existence of natural carbon dioxide and various organic compounds.
  • Physical properties: hydrogen index, temperature and thermal stability.
  • Biological properties:  the existence of antibacterial substances and microorganisms activity.

Spring water “Noy” is a true water of life. It flows from the mountain spring on 1700 meters above the sea level, in about 35 km from Yerevan in the Alapars village (formerly Vardavank), Kotayk region.

This is a special place: the water here is “roofed” with waterproof rocks. The specific composition and beneficial properties of spring water “Noy” are owing to the unique natural conditions. The spring water “Noy” is recommended for baby food preparation. It is easily absorbable by the children digestive system and dissolves milk mixtures very well.  “Noy” may be used in pharmaceutics too. Spring water “Noy” has a pleasant taste, refreshes and perfectly quenches thirst.

Children are the essence of our life. We always care for them and wishing them to live long and healthy life. Children are full of energy and make every effort to get rid of it by running, playing and dancing. This means they lose a big quantity of water during the day; therefore, they need it much. Why is it important to choose the water as basic means to quench thirst?  Because it does not contain calories, fat, cholesterol or caffeine, that are present in many other beverages. Moreover, it is relatively inexpensive and better quenches thirst.  Obviously, a 10-year-old child weighting 30 kg has daily need of at least 1 liter water apart from what he/she gets with daily food. Often we see upset mothers when their child is in bad mood. Be aware that very often the reason is dehydration, which has following symptoms: fatigue, headache, weakness etc. Let’s take care of our children and make them happy and healthy - always make sure they drink enough water.

Mother and Baby

During pregnancy, many women are concerned about the issue of how much water to drink during the day. Since a proper use of water is very important for healthy pregnancy, one should drink more water, even in case of swelling. During pregnancy in case of swelling the fluid accumulates in interstitial space. When a pregnant woman limits her use of water, dehydration is felt in blood flow. Thus, in case of swelling women should not limit the amount of water at once. Liquid is the transportation system of human body carrying food to the baby through the blood. The high quality of drinking water is essential for pregnant women since her and her baby’s good health depends on it.

Active Lifestyle

If you play sports or just live an active life you need to drink more water than average drinking quota is. Since people who live active lifestyle lose more water, than those of less active lifestyle. A physically active person weighting 70 kg should drink about 3.5-4 liters of water per day on average. Drink as much water as your organism needs, and you will live healthy and long life.

Elderly people

It is known that every age group has its own physiological characteristics. As the basis of life, the water participates in all vital processes of the body having an important role particularly in the lives of older people. It is well known that 60-70 % of the organism of elderly people consists of water and requires 1.5 liters of water per day excluding the amount received with food. Dehydration is one of the most common and significant causes of hospitalization among people aged 55 or older. Hypertension, arthritis, circulation disorders, unstable body temperature, kidney stones, indigestion and constipation are common disorders found among elderly people who are directly or indirectly connected with the absence of normal water intake. Kidney function decreases, the feeling of thirst becomes weaker over the years; this leads to the decrease in quantity of body water. Therefore, you need to drink the water consciously even if you do not feel thirsty. Besides, the cardiovascular system is pressed in case of water deficiency. Blood becomes thicker and thirst leads to the slow blood circulation and heart rate acceleration. The latter is also a common problem among older people. Whereas, it is possible to avoid numerous health problems just by drinking the required amount of water.
